The Italian Superior Council of Public Works enounced in January 2019 the Guidelines for the identification, qualification and acceptance control of fiber-reinforced polymer matrix composites (FRCM) to be used for the structural consolidation of existing buildings.
This standard provides environmental durability tests on FRCM specimens, including: aging tests, behaviour to thermal stresses, cycling freezing and thawing tests.
FDM provides the right solutions to these requirements, with Climatic Chambers for environmental tests of any type of material, with controlled humidity and temperature.
Each cycle consists of at least 4 hours at -18° C, followed by 12 hours in a humid chamber, with relative humidity of not less than 90% and a temperature of 38° C.
